Fire Marshal Training with/without practical extinguisher use provides comprehensive instruction on fire safety, prevention, and emergency response, including practical training on the use of fire extinguishers if required

Key topics covered include the role and responsibilities of the fire marshal, fire prevention, fire detection and alarms, evacuation procedures, fire extinguisher types and their safe use and liaising with the emergency services and assisting in drills and real-life scenarios

Who Should Attend?

Existing Fire Marshals/Wardens/Stewards including new Fire Marshals and also anyone in a management, supervisory or team leader role who has H&S responsibilities for their staff or others such as the general public, students, clients etc

It is a legal requirement that ALL businesses train staff in basic fire safety protocols and that some staff have more specialised training i.e. fire marshals.

What Will I Learn?

  • Role and Responsibilities: Understanding the duties of a Fire Marshal in maintaining fire safety
  • Fire Prevention: Identifying potential fire hazards and implementing measures to prevent fires on a proactive basis
  • Fire Detection and alarms: Knowledge of fire detection systems and alarm procedures
  • Evacuation Procedures: Planning and executing safe and efficient evacuation plans including PEEPS
  • Fire Extinguisher Use: Hands-on training in selecting and using various types of fire extinguishers effectively
  • Emergency Coordination: Coordinating with emergency services and assisting in drills and real-life scenarios

Both training options aim to equip Fire Marshals with the knowledge and skills necessary to enhance fire safety and effectively manage emergency situations, with the primary difference being the inclusion or exclusion of practical fire extinguisher training.
