We assist employers in preparing their cases and provide expert guidance when communicating with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), including challenging or appealing enforcement notices or prosecutions when justified.

Enforcement actions by the HSE can occur following accidents or dangerous occurrences, planned or unplanned visits by regulators, or complaints by employees or third parties. Responses to minor complaints may involve providing explanations by email or letter with supporting evidence, while more serious matters can lead to enforcement notices or “Fees for Intervention” (FFI). For material breaches, the HSE charges employers for their time until the breach is resolved.
